Happy Anniversary testingReflections - and Thank You All!

this.site
[textile]This month marks the first anniversary of testingReflections.com. It has been a good year and has passed so quickly that I completely missed the fact that the site turned 1 year old on the 29th June. Although I created the site then, I hadn't finished adding the basic features that I wanted it to have until mid July.

Thanks to you, the site has grown from strength to strength. Within the first month (July 2004), testingReflections had managed to attract nearly 1000 unique visitors. 3 months later, 2000 unique visitors and 6 months later in December 2004 it was at nearly 3000 unique visitors per month.

Now, and for the last few months, it has exceeded 10000 unique visitors per month with over 1000 registered users.

Thank you to all of you who have supported the site over the last year. Thanks to those who have been "'reflected'":http://www.testingreflections.com/import/sources (as I now call it). Without you, this site would not be what it is. Thanks to all those who "operate their blogs here":http://www.testingreflections.com/blog... without you, the site would not be what it is. Thanks to all those who read articles on this site... (you guessed it) without you, the site would not be what it is.

Finally, a special thank you to those who show their support for the site through keeping an eye on the sponsored links and clicking them when they see **relevant** ones... please continue to support the site... and if you are an avid user, please consider donating (see left)... the more money you contribute, the better I can make the site for you... but no amount is too small either ;-)

Thank you all!

Many thanks Neill

Thanks Neill,

Your support is very appreciated. Your contributions, including the content, all help to bring people to the site and spread the word.

I have constantly received positive feedback about the site and I enjoy maintaining it. Despite it being pretty useful as it stands, it has so much more potential but only money will allow me to realise that. I am looking for ways of adding more value, more resources and identify a service/resource/feature that people would consider paying for... it would be a luxury feature though... I want the core content to always be free!

Finally, you said "I will keep clicking those ads".

For the record (especially anyone else reading this), I am only suggesting that people keep an eye on them and only click on them when they see something of interest... I know that is all you mean by your statement but someone who didn't know you well enough might think it was about clicking for the sake of it... for any reader that isn't clear on that.... clicking ads for the sake of it is a definite no-no.

Once again Neill, many thanks!

A great first year of many...

Antony,
the site has been a great idea and lets see it go from strength to strength. I have found it useful to develop my written voice and to try out and discuss my ideas in a wider forum where people actually digest what is written prior to commenting.
I will keep clicking those ads, using the site link in my sig on discussion boards and QA Forums, and mentioning it as a resource of value in the links list at the end of my conference talks.
A great idea well executed. Now if only we can get some of the other people we know actively blogging...
