LEWT is a testers workshop, where a small group of experienced practitioners discuss a succession of ideas around a theme. The next LEWT will take place on Saturday 10 December (the day after the next SIGiST), and will be built around the theme “Exploratory Testing in Practice”. Attendance is by application and invitation; participants are expected to have something to say. If you would like to attend, please apply to James Lyndsay with a title or abstract for a brief talk.
Two spaces are reserved for testers with less than two years experience – these participants are not required to have a talk prepared.
Subjects should be relevant to the theme. There will be no slides. Talks can be as short as 30 seconds. They should be no longer than 10 minutes. Talks will be prioritised by the group – some talks might not be heard, new talks can be generated on the day.
LEWT lasts a day. It is run along the same lines as LAWST (Los Altos Workshop in Software Testing) and WOPR (Workshop on Performance and Reliability). There is no charge for the workshop, but attendees are expected to share nominal expenses, and cover their own travel and accommodation. This meeting will be LEWT 2.
