Finally blogging.....

Well, I've been meaning to get my blogging act together for a while now, but having just got back from StarWest in California to Melbourne Australia, I'm inspired to put some thoughts into the ether.

I've had two amazing testing talking days at Disneyland, once with James Lyndsay in 2002, and last week with Rob Sabourin. While it is great to have general discussions during a conference, during the breaks and in the evenings, there is nothing better than one-on-one alternating intellectual discussion (while you're lining up for rides) with much lighter stuff (the rides themselves).
The research with Rob included a few rides on the Tower of Terror, one of which I recorded and he replayed in his "Elevator Talks with Senior Managers" keynote. Mighty good fun, can't wait for next year.
Even did some stress testing while I was there, with 2 unexpected spare hours on the last day I did the Tower of Terror 5 times in 70 minutes (stress testing myself!)

Thanks

Erik,
it was nice to meet you to....bah! But then Rob is very memorable, as was James Lyndsay's sound file for Robs keynote :-)

STARWEST LIGHTER STUFF

Yes indeed - but what about that roller coaster in the dark - how do you relate that experience to a software testing project.

We may have to write an article called:
"What Disney Theme Parks Taught us about Software Testing".
Maybe James Lyndsay can chip in a few soundbites too!

Cheers
