Apologies - Problems with testingReflections
Submitted by reflectionsadmin on Mon, 24/09/2007 - 15:16.
Some time from 18th September there were several problems with testingReflections occurring. This followed an upgrade to PHP performed by the ISP. Unfortunately, one of the modules (textile) is not compatible so I've had to disable it.
Any blogger that used textile in any of their posts (including me) resulted in an error (showing 'page not found'). This also resulted if any blogger that previously used textile attempted to post to their blog.
I have only just diagnosed this as the problem and disabled the textile module and thus this is the first opportunity I've had to post anything to the site (blush).
As a result of disabling the module, the formatting of some posts will not be reproduced and hyperlinks using textile markup will appear as text. You can tell which posts are affected as the post will be prefixed: [textile]
This has highlighted several problems arising from TR being a little behind on it's upgrades (blush).
Note: it is not the ISP's fault, as I was aware that the PHP upgrade was going to take place with more than adequate warning but due to other commitments simply couldn't complete my CMS upgrade in time.
I'm in the process of upgrading TR. I will upgrade the textile module too and re-enable it as soon as possible. I had a few serious problems with the upgrade on Thursday and Friday.
I am spending some time this afternoon to make sure I've got the problems ironed out and will attempt the upgrade later today.
Again, apologies for the inconvenience.
