All hail the webmaster.....

I got to meet a lot of new people at STARwest 07, including mine host, the webmaster of testing reflections, Msr Antony Marcano. It was an unusual meeting, as I introduced myself while asking a question during his keynote. Despite his love of the James Lyndsay style of conference presentation, eloquent discourse around a thought provoking image (but try and remember what the material was about 6 months later if you go back over the slides), and his penchant for sleeveless jumpers to keep out the chill of the Disneyland hotel (actually they were quite stylish), I discovered we share a real passion for testing. Antony had flown from London to the US west coast and back twice in two weeks for two conferences in 2 weeks. That is dedication, I did 2 in a week but that was just Anaheim and San Fran. Antony also gave us a great verbal puzzle to ponder over dinner with Jonathan Kohl (and his wife) and Michael Bolton. If you meet any of us and have a spare 20 minutes, ask us to give you the puzzle which was great value. Last but not least, Antony has to be a good guy, as he is has a variety of joint citizenships including Australian like me. [grin]
