If we're feeling depressed then we're likely to approach every decision from the standpoint that failure is imminent.
If we're feeling bloodyminded, we might be more interested in finding fault than in finding ways to move forward.
If we're feeling up-beat, we might not be willing to listen to bad news.
And so on.
