During bachelor study in the University of Latvia part-time worked as programmer and system administrator. Since 1998 working in Exigen Latvia (former SWH technology). Got master degree while working full time. Don’t like university and academic approach since then :) although am pretty good at it.
So it’s almost 10 years in Exigen and doing testing/QA stuff: testing in IBM projects, local government and telecom projects, documenting procedures, participating a lot of interesting activities such as developing requirements for defect tracking system, performing the first RCA in company, etc. Also performance testing is almost always fun. At this moment I’m leading tests for products that are developed in Exigen for internal usage – framework/tool-set for developing solutions.
Hobbies... I know a lot of persons saying – just do a google search my name. When I do it with Ainars Galvans I find link to this site (+few more related links) and references to mathematical Olympiads/contests. Folk-dances, mountain-skiing, and few other activities I count as relaxations not a hobbies.
